In previous posts I have discussed at length why I don't bet from the end of November until the new year. . Chief among them is the abomination called 'the inner dirt track (idt) at Aqueduct. A close second has to do with the disappearance around the country of wagerable 'monster moves.'
Historically, the running line shows up during this period--but only as an indication of a horses' true form or lack thereof. It is not uncommon for more than half the field to display a 'move' line--without the necessary information to separate them. Apparently barns tend to begin their genuine campaigns after spending holidays with their families and training the new three year olds.
That said, I apparently returned to action on the right day. Not only did I hit a small superfecta at Gulf, my lone speedsters at idt set up for me to collect the second pick three and a healthy pick four. My first IRS of the year. Welcome back!
